Dr. Shanna Yackel
Dr. Shanna Yackel is an Associate Veterinarian at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and East Hills Veterinary Clinic. She is originally from Long Island, New York, but has since lost her accent. At an early age, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She’s always believed in the importance of the human animal bond and strives to be an advocate for both pets and parents. After achieving her undergraduate degree, she moved to the Midwest to attend veterinary school at Ohio State University, where she cultivated special interests in dermatology and internal medicine. She is an avid hiker and kayaker. She also has a passion for traveling and learning about different cultures. Over the past several years, she has been to many exciting countries, including Peru, Italy, Thailand, South Africa, and Australia. When she’s not planning her next adventure, you can find her relaxing on a patio somewhere eating her favorite food, TACOS!

She's always been fascinated by psychology in both humans and animals. She has truly loved animals her entire life, and she has always dreamed of having the opportunity to give back to them for everything they provide us with on a daily basis.
Anna was raised in Lafayette, Indiana. She grew up on a farm, where she developed a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. She went to Ball State University for a degree in social work and interpersonal relations, which has enabled her to further understand how to work with people and communicate with them effectively. I was born and raised here in Cincinnati. I have 3 handsome sons, and 5 grandchildren that I love dearly. I have always been an animal lover, if there was a stray dog or cat out side i would bring it home. That really hasn't changed in all these years. I decided when covid hit to make a career change and I couldn't be happier. I enjoy people, especially people with pets and just want to help all the fur babies stay healthy. I enjoy the dog park with my girl Suri and just hanging out with my family. I am truly blessed.
